Bruno “Braun” Amore was born in Rome, Italy, and he lived there almost his entire life. He’s always been interested in the realm of images and ideas, even in his prime childhood. He used to hide from other people’s sight, to take fantasy travels through imaginary worlds he created in his mind. Growing up, his interest for arts and literature grew constantly, and when the time came, he chose to study art in order to develop his drawing skills. It was a wrong turn, because despite his passion for painting and illustration, his real essence lay in different places. After a few months, one of his friends asked him, almost as a joke, if he wanted to be the vocalist in his band. That was the first time that the magic of music touched Braun. He was, right in that period, secretly discovering his emerging talent for singing, and that proposal arrived unexpected and casually. From that moment, he started delving deeper and deeper in the practice of expressing thoughts and feelings through words and sounds, being engaged in a band for about ten years. One day, due to artistic and personal discordances, his former band collapsed, and he found himself looking for new people to share his talents with. He was trying several emerging bands in his city, but never felt “home”. So he decided to move to London, where he thought he could find the musicians he needed. Just a month before leaving Rome, he found out on the internet that Isurus were looking for a vocalist
That was the second time that the magic of music touched him. He got in touch with Tom and Lizod, and once he arrived in London, he wrote lyrics and vocal lines for one of their songs. When he showed them his work, they instantly realized that their long search for a vocalist was finally over, and Braun felt he’d found his new and greater dimension. In a month, he wrote the lyrics and vocal lines for the entire debut concept album. So, now he is the proud voice of Isurus, and Isurus is the new home of his thoughts and feelings. The singing taking place in Lizod and Tom’s powerful sound, are the result of an almost thirty year long lifetime, spent in a constant inner speculation, a seamless endeavor to feel, understand and express the self and the surrounding world, and to gain control on and give peace to an agitated and wounded mind. An expedition through life that Braun faced bringing with him his main source of energy and spiritual nutrition: Music. Music is the temple in which his mind and spirit found space to develop and get stronger. His inspiration and wealth come from Tool, Opeth, Pearl Jam, Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree, and many more, since he loves and enjoys any musical genre. However, as a singer, Braun proudly claims his work to be the legacy of Eddie Vedder, Maynard James Keenan, David Sylvian, and Daniel Gildenlow.
