Thomas grew up in Cambridge, Zurich, Geneva and Nicosia before moving to London at the age of 19 in order to attend music college and further his pursuit of a career in the music industry. At the age of 12 Thomas knew beyond doubt that he wanted to be a drummer. He clearly remembers the moment that this desire became apparent; one evening on the journey home from school when he heard the track 'Elephant Talk' off King Crimson's album 'Discipline'. His father had exposed him to the likes of Crimson, Frank Zappa, Yes, Tangerine Dream, etc, from an early age but it was at this moment that his desire to be a drummer became clear. From the very begining his ambition was strong and upon moving back to Cambridge, England aged 13 he bought a drum kit and began practicing. 2 years later he met and played with fellow founding member Lizod. It was instantly apparent that the two had a similar ambition and mind set which crystalised in the formation of the first incarnation of Isurus, then called Spectre. Thomas then set about a rigorous practice regime, playing between 5 and 7 hours per day. After completing music college, and having developed a strong interest in the Occult, Thomas began working in an Esoteric Bookshop in the centre of London. His time at this shop noticably influenced his musical direction which was fuelled by a strong interest in Zen Buddhism and the philosophy of George Ivanovich Gurdjieff. Thomas has developed a method of drum practice and composition that utilizes the tenets found within these schools. He continues to study and practice the art of drumming.
